Types of Cartridges

There are two main types of cartridges: disposable and refillable. Disposable cartridges are pre-filled and meant to be discarded once the e-liquid runs out. Refillable cartridges, however, allow you to add your own e-liquid, which can be cheaper and more customizable. Before beginning, gather your supplies: e-liquid, a small dropper bottle, and a clean workspace.

The Process of Refilling

Start by removing the cartridge from your e-cigarette. If your cartridge is attached to a tank, you’ll likely need to unscrew it to access the fill port. Look for a small, rubber plug or screw cap at the top of the cartridge. Remove this to expose the fill port. It’s crucial not to overfill; squeezing too much liquid into the cartridge can cause leaks or flooding.

Once the port is open, use the dropper to slowly add e-liquid into the cartridge. A steady hand is beneficial here, as you want to avoid air bubbles or spills. Aim to fill approximately 75-80% of the cartridge, leaving space for air. Replace any plugs or screw caps securely after filling.

Always handle your e-liquid with care, as nicotine can be dangerous if consumed directly or absorbed through the skin. Ensure you’re in a well-ventilated area while refilling to avoid inhaling concentrated aromas. Also, be cautious of the e-liquid’s quality and source; a reputable supplier ensures a better vape experience and lessens health risks.
